Terms of Use

These Terms of Use apply to StelaWare (desktop) and StelaWare Companion (mobile).

The service

StelaWare is writing software. Companion is a mobile companion for reading manuscripts and capturing notes and to-dos that sync through your own Git host. Manuscript files remain under your control; Companion does not rewrite your manuscript document files.

Accounts

Companion may require a StelaWare account (Apple, Google, GitHub, or email). You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping credentials secure. You may delete your Companion account in Settings.

Your content

You retain ownership of your manuscripts and project data. You grant StelaWare only the limited rights needed to operate the apps you use (for example, storing account and linked-project metadata when you use cloud account features).

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service, attempt unauthorized access, or use the apps in violation of applicable law or your Git host’s terms.

Disclaimers

The software is provided “as is.” Early access features may change. To the extent permitted by law, StelaWare disclaims warranties and limits liability for indirect or consequential damages.

Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above.
